No wonder Simon disappeared sharpish after effectively voting her off in favour of Ruth. The odds on Laura going out last night were 50:1, that's how much the bookies fancied her to stay in the contest. British public got it so wrong! |

Diana Vickers | Now Diana Vickers may just surprise everyone. She has a quirky voice and is a really attractive looking girl. Brilliant week 3. Now back after illness and fighting fit. Looking forward to next week and hoping she'll do Blondie again. |

JLS | JLS are the best of the bands by a mile, but we don't think they are as strong as the single girls. In any other year they would have had a real chance! Great Michael Jackson week for the guys! Swing week better than we thought they would be. Take That week, surprisingly average! Odds have doubled since last week - so they must be losing support. |

Ruth Lorenzo | We think Simon did for Ruth this week, and he's so clever, just reminding us all he's proud to be British! Alexandra Burke | Miss Consistency. Fabulous voice and getting more likeable each week. With Laura's strange departure Alexandra Burke now has a real shot. Undoubtedly the best voice in the final after Laura. Doesn't it just sum up Louis' talent spotting ability that he dumped her 3 years ago? A deserving winner Well done Alex! |

Girl Band | Again - stronger than Daniel but the were voted out by the great British public. Too many oldies voting this year I think! |

Daniel Evans | Such a nice guy and such a moving story but we just wish his singing voice was stronger. Daniel Evans might just be a dark horse if he can "grow" as the competition progresses. By far the worst in week 1, 2 3 and week 4. Must be on borrowed time. Can't possibly survive Mariah week. OMG HE DID! Now Danny is finally out and we think he went out after his best performance. WHAT IS GOING ON? |

Bad Lashes OUT Week 1 | We thought they'd sung well enough in the sing-off - so did girl band! One of the girls has a fabulous voice - she'll be back! Real shame they are out as we had hopes of a lot more. |

Scott Bruton | Master stroke by Simon to take the blame (rightfully) for the song choice in week one. Not sure Scott can last much longer without stepping up a gear. Better than Danny in week 3 but the girlie softies kept Danny in. Hard luck on Scott we feel. |
