History: Boylesports was set up in 1989 and they have grown to become Ireland's largest independent bookmaker. (Though this is mainly due to the flotation of Paddy Power.) They have grown enormously since going online in 2001, particularly in 2006 and 2007. In common with their main Irish rival, managing director John Boyle is keen to foster a sense of customer loyalty through competitive products and the highest level of customer service.
Odds and Markets: With an English only website, clearly BoyleSports are catering exclusively to the British and Irish markets. Not surprisingly therefore, there are other bookies out there more suited to your needs if you want to bet on European or North American sports. They do however have very competitive margins on football and racing, although perhaps less so on some of the fringe sports that they offer. They will often make up for this by offering enhanced place terms, though our experience is that players generally prefer the bigger price in the first place. Look out for great offers for the high-profile soccer matches, as they strive to grow their market share. For the available sports, the range of markets is about average.
Customer Service: BoyleSports have live chat, which is fast becoming the "must have" feature in the online sportsbetting world. After all, if you have an issue that requires customer service input, you don't want to wait for an email do you? That being said, their email resonse time and quality of customer sevice is very good!

Conclusion: We feel Boylesports have done well to create a well-structured online operation. The website is greatly improved and provides a foundation for a solid reliable service. While the range of sports and markets is average, they make up for this with a great attitude to customer service - something that can't be said for every bookmaker out there.
